This is a collection of images from a series of paintings that were completed from the time that I have been living in Central Victoria.  Most all of them have been captured on site, in one pass, without studio touch ups, in the open air.  I have really got to know the place.  This isn't something to be sniffed at.  Fire tracks, stockyards, logging trails, backroads, pasture, riverbed, dam, reservoir, grassland, alps.  All conditions too, freezing cold, blistering heat, wind, rain, misty, stormy, rainy, gusty,  still.  And lastly, the light.  The light in Central Victoria is remarkable.  Across the seasons, it shifts like tides, falling on the eye, calling the painter to get out into it again.
